Just wanted to remind everyone of the new pilot submission form for LRF NOW Original Series.

Additionally, if you want your show renewed from this season, I still need you to fill the form out. You can simply type in "RENEWAL" into the boxes for the pilot script, but the rest of the sections would simply apply to the show's second season. This would help me out by making all of the information for each show more uniform (and thus easier for me to navigate on the studio end). I will then send you a message - either as a new message or part of the existing message thread for the series - to confirm that I have received the form.
As it stands right now, only 4 shows/writers have done this for next season.

So, I’m going to be fully transparent, I did not like working this show for a multitude of reasons, the main ones being that it was both not a good fit for the network and that I hadn’t planned it out. It is very clearly not my best work…but I am happy that there was at least a couple of people that understood the intent of the series and it does make me feel a little better about making the project as a whole.

After discussing the matter with a few writers, I have decided that LRF NOW Original Series will only appear every other season for the time being. This allows more time for me to prepare things and more time for writers to write out entire seasons. Maybe once more series and episodes are banked, the output could potentially increase to every season, but that simply isn't feasible yet.

I, for one, am happy to hear about the delayed start of the second season of LRF NOW OS. I submitted my first pilot last week, but was a bit daunted at getting the entire season done in time. I took the same philosophy toward developing a show as Chad Taylor did with Strange Days and picked a mostly forgotten movie from the 90's that had more ideas than it knew what to do with (I'll announce what film it is at a later date). |

My LRF NOW series, SISCO, was released earlier today (https://hmsfilms.blogspot.com/2022/11/sisco.html). Some of the reviews mentioned that it felt a bit short. There are a couple of reasons for that. I did not have very long to write the series (my fault, not the studio's), and I felt it was better to leave the audience wanting more rather than the show overstaying its welcome. If everything goes well, I do have a vague idea of what I would do with a second season.

That means that Life With Barney is the series that will not be invited back for another season. Sorry, Jacob Jones. The Critical and Viewership Scores weren't death sentences, but the lack of Genre and Star/Executive Producer Appeal lowered the Content Score too much. Best of luck to Jacob on any potential future series.
Just a reminder as well that I need the writers of ALL series that they want to bring back for future seasons to fill out the LRF NOW ORIGINAL SERIES PILOT SUBMISSION FORM (https://forms.gle/UDUUCMWp98bwM5uV8). If you do not, contract options on the starring talents of your show may expire, leaving your series without its stars.

There will most likely be a smaller award ceremony around the mid-point of Season 25. I just haven't worked out the details yet.
