PRESS RELEASE:
Last Resort Films President Phil Dolan has announced, due to popular demand, that LRF will be getting back into the TV and streaming service business with a new venture: LRF NOW Originals (though that title is just a working title at this point). The studio is accepting submissions for original television series to take the place of the previous LRF NOW content. Any writers are welcome to submit shows for consideration. The studio is not planning on spending $25 million per episode like Disney+ (think more like $5-7 million on the high end). The hope is to debut a new series (in full, so all episodes at once) roughly each week (or round, TBD) during the 23rd season of LRF - so get brainstorming!
The studio has also released the guidelines for any submissions below:

UPDATE: Please use the following the LRF NOW ORIGINAL SERIES PILOT SUBMISSION FORM (docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSchTmskPnJQqyh1clZeGA_GwJ875lPiopruwj-ImkSoozOlXQ/viewform?usp=sf_link) to submit series pilots
What is needed in an initial pitch….
TITLE - The title of your potential series.
GENRE - The genre(s) of your potential series.
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER - This will be the director of your pilot episode. They will establish the overall visual look of your series based on their past work. They will then stay on past the pilot episode as an executive producer.
WRITER - Your name. If your show is an adaptation, include Based on…
NUMBER OF EPISODES - This is the number of episodes you are planning to write. Hour-long series should be 8 episodes or less, Half-hour series should be 10 episodes or less.
FORMAT - Half-hour or hour-long. This will determine what the acceptable length of an episode will be. More on that below in PILOT EPISODE SCRIPT.
STARRING / REGULAR CAST - These will be the characters that will appear in all or nearly all of the episodes. You will need to specify character names, casting choices and give a brief (one or two sentence) description of the role.
RECURRING CAST/CHARACTERS - These are characters who would appear in more than two episodes, but less than ⅔ of the episodes. They will also need a brief description of their characters alongside the casting choices.
PILOT EPISODE SCRIPT - You will need a completed pilot episode script in order to even be considered for production. Half-hour series should be 250-600 words. Hour-long series should be 600-1200 words (preferably closer to 1000 or less, except for the pilot and season finale). These word counts will be strictly enforced. If your episode is over the word count,
SERIES THEME/OPENING-CREDITS SONG (OPTIONAL) - This song will open each episode of your series. It should be a song that hasn't already been used in that same capacity.
SERIES OUTLINE - Along with a completed pilot episode script, you will need to submit a few sentences giving a brief description of each episode planned for the series. This, along with the pilot and character descriptions, will also help determine if potential cast or producers accept the offer. Optional: you may also choose an end credits song for each episode.
This is all that will initially be needed, but do not consider your series accepted unless the studio has received EVERY episode of the first season of your series.
That is all for now. If the studio has more announcements, expect to find them on this message thread. If there are any questions, comments or suggestions, feel free to post them below.
