Enjoyed the first few seasons of Misfits way back when, which is what led me to Nathan Stewart-Jarrett for Boys of the Bayou (although I was probably most impressed with Robert Sheehan on that show). Look forward to seeing Mark's take on it.

That was actually a super tricky aspect of the adaptation. I based the characters in my version fairly faithfully on the British versions, but there's no way to find someone who can outdo Robert Sheehan in the role of Nathan. He was just perfect.

After careful consideration, I have decided to debut the LRF NOW Originals TV series during Season 24 rather than next season. The first four shows that have been announced (Scalped, Misfits, Strange Days & Silent Hill) will still be the first four series released. I'm pushing it back one season to ensure that there are enough series to sustain the endeavor and allow writers more time to develop their series. If you haven't submitted a pilot yet, this gives you more time to do so, and if you have already then you now have more time to write all the episodes. I will provide new deadlines for pilot/series submissions at a later date.

If there is, is it okay to add songs to scene with bare minimal detail?

View AttachmentWe are trying to ensure that LRF NOW Originals is its own entity, so we would not be interested in doing any direct continuations of series from LRTV at this time.

UPDATE: With Season 22 wrapping here any day now, I figured this would be a good time to provide an update on LRF NOW ORIGINALS. The plan is still to debut the endeavor alongside SEASON 24 of LRF. The new deadline for pilot submissions is May 29th (all the same guidelines as the initial post of this thread are required alongside your pilot pitch). A complete season must be completed by July 4th.

UPDATE: This is one final reminder that all pilot submissions must be turned in by the end up this upcoming weekend, so Sunday May 29th (along with all the other required information outlined in the initial post of this thread). The complete season of episodes then must be submitted by July 4th.

Can’t wait to see the TV shows! I’m interested to see how they look as opposed to a film pitch, once I see the format, I’ll look into TV show ideas as well.

UPDATE: Based on the scheduling for next season (which is now figured out) and my own recent schedule, I have decided to push the deadline for LRF NOW (full series submissions) to August 4th. You can also still submit pilots if you would like (shows not completed or accepted for the inaugural season could be held for later seasons when spots if needed). This would still give the critics and myself enough time to tackle reviews and other LRFNO business. I assure you this is the last deadline push, so mark your calendars.

UPDATE: Based on the polls, I wanted to announce some of the rules/details for the upcoming inaugural season of LRF NOW ORIGINAL SERIES.
- Shows CAN get cancelled. The overwhelming majority of those who answered that question in the poll, answered that the "Lowest performing show each season is automatically cancelled". This will be determined by the ratings. The ratings will be revealed for the various series at the end of the season.
- The poll question about how frequently shows should be reviewed had answers all over the map. The two most popular answers were "Once after the entire series" and "Twice: once after the pilot and once at the end" tied for the most popular. I've decided to go with each series being reviewed twice. The reviews will consist of three critics and a Metascore, just like with films.
- There will be a somewhat smaller awards show/season a few days before the GRA ceremony. The award categories will most likely be as follows: BEST PRODUCTION DESIGN BEST SOUNDTRACK BEST GUEST STAR BEST INDIVIDUAL EPISODE BEST EXECUTIVE PRODUCER BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR BEST ACTRESS BEST ACTOR BEST SERIES
And a reminder, you have about 5 days left to submit your series....
