Hi everyone, I know I'm not a very good writer in the world of Last Resort Films world but I decided to open this thread to give you news, information, curiosities about my future, present and even past films. I've not created a blog because I am not able to do it . I apologize as always for my grammatical errors. First of all I want to thank the Admin very much because I loved the movie poster. As everyone has seen, Final Girls was released in streaming on LRF NOW today. To my surprise the film got quite a positive review and I am very happy with that. Billy had written the film more than two years ago and was initially supposed to have a theatrical release with a cast to be led by Rooney Mara, Boyd Holbrook and Imogen Poots with Tomas Alfredson as director. When everything was ready to start shooting, my team was no longer sure of the plot because it was considered too simple and not very good and we decided to include it in the LRF NOW catalog. Most of the cast then abandoned the project due to the obvious budget cut and. Only Dianna Agron decided to stay in the project and I thank her for this because in my mind her character was created only with her face. Sadly, Rooney Mara was very resentful and then turned down a role for a future my movie that she initially seemed to have accepted. Imogen Poots, on the other hand, had also almost decided to stay but in the end she also abandoned the project. However, Imogen has been very nice and is in talks for a role in Resident Evil 4. Let's move on to the starring members of the cast chosen for the film that was released today. Megan Boone is in my opinion a good actress and still has experience with the thriller being the protagonist of "The Blacklist" and despite being totally different from Rooney Mara I decided to call her personally and I proposed an audition. She was very happy to accept because she wanted to participate in a film from our studio and I must say she was good in the film. Other actresses I had considered calling had been Maggie Grace and Katie McGrath. Adam Brody, on the other hand, has always been nice to me since the days of O.C. and I chose it mainly for its reassuring aspect. I honestly did not think he could accept, I was quite convinced that his salary was too high and instead there were no problems in the negotiations to join the film. Tamsin Egerton on the other hand is an actress I don't know very well (who in my mind I always have in mind for the role of a young Cersei Lannister in a movie set in the Game of Thrones universe that I don't know if it will ever be produced.) Furthermore, I thank Tanya Wexler for directing the film with commitment and skill. As I mentioned earlier I was very surprised by the positive reception, honestly I was not very positive because the story seemed uninteresting to me because it was a success at the box office. My team wanted to give the film a dark and introspective tone for Quinn's character given her psychological journey following the murders she witnessed (Unlike Crush where the movie was a funny thriller on purpose). Ah ... I forgot to mention Taylor Hickson, I wanted to give her a small role because I was very sorry for the very serious injury happened in the beautiful movie "Incident in a Ghostland". She was very happy to have been contacted despite her role running out in the first seven or eight minutes of the film. Thanks everyone for your attention. See you soon.

Hi everyone, today I wanted to talk about my other film released on the LRF NOW streaming platform this season, CURTAINS. Here in Italy the film never came out with Italian dubbing and I watched it in the original language before writing the film. Honestly I thought it was a fairly unknown slasher film but I discovered that it has a certain number of fans such as CHOPPING MALL (this however unlike Curtains had an Italian distribution under the name Supermarket Horror). By the way, my compliments to Malcolm Taylor for doing a good remake. I chose to make the film Curtains because it seemed the right film for LFR NOW due to the intentionally ironic key of the film, the blood and some sex scenes. This too, like FINAL GIRLS, had a brief date for theatrical release. Let's talk a little about the director and the cast. I wanted to choose a cast that most had never worked for our studio and I'm glad they all got along well JEFF WADLOW is a director who may not be technically very good but knows he doesn't take himself seriously like in TRUTH OR DARE or FANTASY ISLAND. I chose it right after watching FANTASY ISLAND, it seems to me the last film I had seen at the cinema before the cinemas closed last February. Jeff did a good job and I'm happy to have worked with him and I think we'll do other projects together in the future. Let's move on to LAKE BELL and SIMON BAKER instead. Lake is an underestimated actress for my opinion because she is able to range well in various roles, from drama to comedy, as she did in this film, for example. I really liked her interpretation especially in the initial part inside the asylum. I also contacted Melissa George for this role. Simon, on the other hand, is an actor I really like. I had met him in the beautiful Romero's film Land of the Dead and obviously in The Mentalist. Simon did here just what I wanted and used his smirk to slap perfectly. Simon has recently disappeared a little from circulation and I hope this role will help him regain some popularity. JILLIAN JACOBS, well I love it. In addition to being wonderful, she has a great comic key and I liked her in all of her films. Here she was good because she also had the role of Villain in the surprise ending. Of course I also thank all the other girls who had a lot of fun making this movie, Maggie, Betty (You were fantastic in The Hunt), Alexandra, Crystal, Portia and Sofia (She will soon see her in the cinema in a supporting role ..) . Thanks also to friend Billy Burke for lending himself to that small role.
Thank you all. See you next time for some trivia about the other two films Granny and The School that were released on LRF NOW last season. Of course, the reviews had been very mediocre but I think we can give some information and curiosity about those films too.
Have a nice day.

Hello everyone, I am writing this post to talk a little about the first two films released on the streaming platform LRF NOW, GRANNY and THE SCHOOL. First of all, I congratulate the Admin for the movie posters that I like very much. Unfortunately, they haven't had particularly positive reviews. These two films, too, were originally meant to be released in theaters but then I changed my mind because they were small films with various plot problems, especially The School. Let's start with this film.
The film was conceived after seeing some films that had their own setting within colleges or schools of various kinds and I tried to write one. Obviously it is a rather simple film, with probably some plot holes and that has implications that have been seen many times especially in the second part. For these reasons this film was almost canceled before the arrival of the streaming platform. The film was originally to be directed by Jennifer Kent or Karyn Kusama and I had approached actors such as Annasophia Robb, Orlando Blood and Lena Headey.
But let's go back to the film by talking about it a little from a technical point of view. From a visual and directorial point of view, however, a good job was done. JULIA DUCOURNEAU shot some very interesting scenes such as the opening scene or the one in which the body of the character of Samantha Logan is discovered. I had discovered Julia when I bought the DVD of film RAW, a film that I had heard very well about and which turned out to be a pleasant surprise and so I decided to contact her to find out if it was available to make a film here in the Hollywood world and it was shown curious and interested. Thank you Julia for saving the film from disaster. All in all, the actors did a sufficient job although perhaps some casting choices like that of Topher Grace and Michael Rapaport were wrong but they still tried to do their best. I gave the lead role to LUCY BOYNTON with whom my team had worked in the film Carmilla, now more than 10 seasons ago. She has a sweet and determined face and that's why I chose her. I'm curious to see her performance in the next Jimmy Ellis movie.
STEFANIE SCOTT, ANNALISE BASSO and JOSEPHINE LANGFORD did their duty very well especially Stefanie.
Granny, on the other hand, is a small film that I liked quite a lot anyway and for me it was a perfect choice to stream it. The reviews said that the film smacks of already seen and ok I agree but it is also true that a boy against an elderly lady possessed throughout the film has not been seen many times. Here I will not go into saying much about this film except to congratulate Meg Foster who has fallen into the character very well. Another thing I have to say is that the film could have a sequel set in the facility where the old woman is taken in the finale and find out more about it.
Now I want to write something about the next upcoming movie, Burnt Dreams. It's been three rounds since our team's last film. The film is a supernatural thriller / horror. I hope it can give fun and some fright to those who watch it. Honestly, I'm very curious about how this film will be received by audiences and critics. Obviously it is not a masterpiece of the horror genre but I believe that there are some things inside that can be interesting. Sure, there are some things I'm not very happy with within the film (which I think critics will rightly point out) but I think I'll talk about them after the release of the film or after the box office results. I thank Lily Collins for her commitment to a role in a genre like horror that she doesn't usually do. Among other things, she had a lot of fun during the shoot. Honestly after seeing her in action I decided to give her the lead role in a role in a role next season. That movie won't be a horror movie but it will still have something creepy about it.
That's it for now, thanks and greetings to everyone.

Hello everyone, to celebrate the release of the horror-thriller Burnt Dreams written by Ben Collins, Ben will make a top-five ranking of his favorite films he has written. For Ben this is the 13th film for LRF and he has had 11 nominations for the Golden Reel Awards so far without ever winning an award (He will probably be without even this season: D). So far of the 13 films he has written, only the ill-fated "Stray Dogs" (Metascore 69) and the bad "Dead Space" (Metascore 23) have gone bad at the box office. Now I'm very curious to see how Burnt Dreams will behave at the box office. This is the ranking: 1th The Creature: The Beginning (Metascore 73, Season 8) 2th The Mutation (Metascore 74, Season 12) 3th The Creature (Metascore 72, Season 4) 4th Hollow Creek (Metascore 50, Season 15) 5th Black Dublin (Metascore 64, Season 9) After this ranking Ben will rank the performances he preferred actresses who participated in his films. ACTRESS: 1 AMANDA SEYRIED (Lily-Siren)2 KIRSTEN DUNST (Alice Kyteler-Black Dublin)
3 ANA DE ARMAS (Arya-The Mutation)
4 EMMY ROSSUM (Lillian-The Creature) 5 LILY COLLINS (Cynthia Edelstein-Burnt Dreams)
Good day everyone.

Hello to all. It's been a couple of days since Burnt Dreams was released in theaters. Unfortunately, the box office results were not very good while the critics were fair. How was this film born? I love Nightmare and I also have them all on DVD and I said to myself "Why not make a Nightmare-style movie where the supernatural villain doesn't really exist?" Well, I've started writing it and completing it over time and I'm pretty happy with the final result. The scenes are smooth and some of them can bring a certain amount of anxiety to viewers. The scene of the explosion of the memory of the night of the fire or some scenes between Lily Collins and Kevin Bacon are in my opinion successful. Plus the character of Lily Collins was characterized quite well and Kevin Bacon did his job well too. The problem I mentioned in a previous post, however, is that I was unable to give an adequate characterization to the characters of Crudup and Wilson. Also I had to insert other scenes with the two of them but I had no interesting ideas. However, for me the 59 of Metascore is a decent vote. The next film will be Escape the Unknown written by Jack Slipter and we will see how it will behave at the box office although honestly it seems less interesting to me than Burnt Dreams. The cast headed by Emma Stone is however of a good level (E. Stone, D. Johnson, S.Woodley, O.Cooke, L.Lerman) and I hope it brings an audience to the cinemas. That said we will see you in a few days and I leave you with a photo taken from a still secret movie set. Filming has just begun.

While waiting for the box office results of Escape the Unknown, let's take a look at my favorite films written by Jack Slipter. So far Jack Slipter has written 10 films and received 2 nominations (including the victory of S. Soderbergh as best director for Carmilla) in the end of season awards.
This is the ranking:
1th: VISIONS (METASCORE 67, SEASON 15)
2th: DEATH IN THE SHADOWS (METASCORE 60, SEASON 16)
3th: BEFORE AND AFTER (METASCORE 50, SEASON 13)
4th: ESCAPE THE UNKNOWN (METASCORE 58, SEASON 17)
5th: 2060 (METASCORE 61, SEASON 7)
As for Escape to Unknown it is a film that I enjoyed writing even if it has flaws especially in the second part and I think critics will point them out. I had decided to give the film a strong female cast: Emma Stone, Dakota Johnson, Shailene Woodley (Elizabeth Olsen was originally cast) are quite well-known actresses while Olivia Cooke is still an actress on the rise and I decided to give her a leading role. However, I hope that the film was appreciated on average and entertained the audience. A curiosity is that although Emma Stone is a very good and quite well-known actress she has not yet had any luck in the LRF universe and all the films she has participated in have been villains at the box office, I hope this film dispels that.
Hello everyone and see you next time where I will draw up a ranking of female performances in Jack Slipter's films and give some other comments to Escape to Unknown.

I realized that I have never done a real presentation and I think it is right to write something about myself. My name is Andrea, I am 30 years old and I live in a village in the north east of Italy (about an hour from Venice ..). I work in a facility for psychiatric patients, I play soccer and I like cats and I also have an aquarium (180 liters) and of course I love cinema in all its forms. I am very sad for the bad time this sector is going through and I hope that next year it will start to be reborn. Obviously from the films I write (Yes Alex, I'm Doster, Collins, Flimmer, Slipter, Cruder) I am very fond of horror films and science fiction in fact my favorite monsters of cinema are undoubtedly the xenomorphs of Alien. Also I like to collect DVD movies, I don't know the exact number but I definitely have more than 300. If I had had the chance I would have tried to study something related to cinema but unfortunately I couldn't. As for favorite actors and actresses: I don't know my favorite actress because there are many but my favorite actor is Woody Harrelson. I think I've said enough for now, say hello everyone

Unfortunately it went wrong again with one of my films this season. Escape to Unknown is pretty bad at the box office (third consecutive film ...), probably my idea of having a strong lead cast has backfired on me, too bad. I was quite aware that it could happen (while for Burnt Dreams I was pretty sure I had a good boxoffice) but obviously I was hoping for a positive response. As for the Metascore of the film, my goal was to exceed 60 and it went badly there too . As for the reviews of the critics, I basically agree. To begin with, I'm glad that the first act of the film was appreciated. My goal was to create a murky and unhealthy environment based on violence and abuse against some unfortunate women who then for various reasons decided to flee that life. Obviously, I am a thriller and horror lover and I decided to include some bloody scenes at the beginning of the film as well. One thing that rightly repeats itself in reviews is that there are various genres in the film. The initial part is dramatic and gory, then it turns into a road movie, then the film goes towards the mystery and the supernatural and finally it turns into a real horror. Let's take a look at the background of the characters. Annabelle Chase ( EMMA STONE… here she is probably in my top-five of my favorite actresses) is a violent and charismatic woman who carries a lot of anger inside her despite having rebelled against her abusive and alcoholic husband. Probably John Chase ( CAM GIGANDET) was a man who changed after the war and decided to drown his memories in alcohol and decided to vent his frustrations towards the woman he had perhaps also loved in the past. I also wanted to give Annabelle's character an aspect of jealousy towards Georgia Shaw ( OLIVIA COOKE) because she may have found a romantic interest. But Annabelle, angry with life, decided that if she wasn't happy, no one else should be. Obviously a flaw in his character is the sudden change in the last part of the film towards Georgia. The character of Olivia Cooke is the youngest and weakest, especially at the beginning of the film where she is the only one who is unable to murder her own man. I wanted to give her personal maturation and growth during the film but obviously I succeeded in part. DAKOTA JOHNSON instead plays Elizabeth Sanders, a strong woman, badass and lover of guns who is also capable of having a certain amount of sympathy and irony during the film. Finally Molly Simms ( SHAILENE WOODLEY) is the one that I have managed to characterize least and is perhaps the kindest and most good of all three adult women. I didn't understand if the performances of these actresses were appreciated by critics but I hope so. I also thank director SCOTT COOPER and all the other participants in the film as well. Well, finally this bad season (Fortunately Alien: Out of the Shadows lifts my spirits a bit) for me has come to an end. Now I'm waiting for Jeff Stockton's Roundup to see what he says about this film, the latest films of the season and then the end-of-season nominations in hopes of being nominated in something even if it will be objectively difficult. I'm also curious to see the Silver Star Awards, a great idea from Jimmy Ellis in the last season. As for my future next season I don't think I will have big box office numbers. I only have one movie with an important cast but right now the plot is still to be fixed in some places. The other films instead are two horror films set in a psychiatric hospital (about ...) but completely different from each other and another with supernatural and fantasy aspects that I hope will be a surprise at the box office thanks to the alchemy and talent of the two protagonists. Now, as promised, I'm going to rank my favorite performances in Jack Slipter's films. 1- ELISABETH MOSS ( Marta Harding-Visions) 2- EMMA STONE ( Annabelle Chase-Escape the Unknown) 3- LILI SIMMONS ( Carmilla-Carmilla) 4- DAKOTA JOHNSON ( Elizabeth Sanders-Escape the Unknown) 5- KAREN GILLAN ( Julie-Before and After) Ciao to all and have a nice day.

Hi, seeing the unexpected release of Until Dawn I decided to do a short post to talk a little about it. First of all, I congratulate the Admin again for the movie poster. I'm also happy that the review is positive, the third for me in LRF NOW this season. Unlike the other films I have released on the streaming platform, this film was designed especially for it. I liked the video game a lot and it was practically already a kind of interactive film and for which it was not very easy to create a good film also because in the game all the characters could both live and die so in the plot that I wrote I decided which deaths they had happen. Initially I wanted to have fun making all the characters die but then I changed my mind and decided to let various characters survive. I chose director Zak Hilditch because he seems talented to me and I really enjoyed "These Final Hours". I chose a cast of second-rate young actors but with familiar faces and I think they all did a good job. Probably the most important actors are two: Patrick Shwarzenegger and Skyler Samuels. Patrick honestly had never seen him act but I needed a name in the movie poster that could attract people. Skyler Samuels instead I had known her thanks to Scream Queens and she is on the third film with me in LRF. I also needed two twins and the choice fell on the Marano sisters ... even if I honestly haven't yet figured out who one is and who the other is . And now we see my top-3 favorite female roles in the films written by Carl Flimmer. In the end, his films were all rejected by critics in a total or partial way. 1- GEMMA CHAN (Machiko Noguchi - Alien Vs Predator:The First Hunt)2- SAOIRSE RONAN (Jill Valentine - Resident Evil 3)3- DAISY RIDLEY (Amanda Ripley - Alien Isolation)

The protagonist of the movie, Chloe Grace Moretz, has recently arrived in the psychiatric facility and looks worried at something that is troubling her.
Katherine Langford and a tear running down her cheek. Why? We will find out in the film.Cassady McClincy shyly wanders around in what could be the basement of the facility.Obviously the talented cast has not been fully revealed, for example there is also a young and very good actress quite well known at the moment and another who has participated in a very popular TV series with dragons. Among other things, I have to tell a nice thing about Cassady's casting. I was on the set of The Walking Dead during filming (I wish it really happened .. but let me dream ..) where I was a zombie appearance in an episode. This girl had just arrived on set to play Lydia, Alpha's daughter. I saw her acting live in the prison scene and she had been very good ... the tone of the voice, the crying ... At the end of the day of shooting I approached her still wearing zombie make-up and complimented her, explained who I was and told her about a script I was writing and that if she wanted a role it would certainly be hers, even if secondary. She was delighted with the proposal. Well… here she is in Fear of the Dark. I conclude by saying that the last film of the season was released today and I have the impression that it will be a success with critics and audiences. I wanted to congratulate all the participants of the LRF universe! Now,I'm very curious about the end of season awards. I will hardly be there but I'm curious anyway:) Bye:)

Some images of next season's film "The Brilliant Friend" begin to arrive. The project is still quite mysterious. Lily Collins admires the beautiful scenery on the film set.
A dark room, a girl inside. Nothing else is known.

Meanwhile, congratulations to all the writers, reviewers and admins for the excellent season of LRF that has just ended. I Can't wait for the next season. Obviously my season has been highly negative (since opening this personal space I have only had box office disaster ). However, another photo from the set of "The Brilliant Friend" has arrived showing the other actress who will join Lily Collins in the main roles. Ben Collins revealed that he greatly admires the actress in question ever since he worked with her on "Damned Ship" in the distant eighth season and decided to cast her a crucial role in this film. Ben Collins goes on to say that the character within the film was created especially for her by making her face and expressions stand out. Also, Ben says this film is supposed to be low-budget and that it won't be a horror movie but it will still have his slightly creepy moments. Finally, he jokes that if someone doesn't like the film he will still have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscapes within the film. The talented and wonderful Samara Weaving on the set of The Brilliant Friend. Her expression of her in this photo was caused because someone of the troupe had brought some treats (which were in the container she was holding) to celebrate his birthday and they were finished before she could taste them. Don't worry, someone hid them as a joke.Well, let's leave The Brilliant Friend for now and focus on a movie that will arrive in season 19, Resident Evil 4 to give some news about it. The writer Carl Flimmer says the film will start right from the post-credit scene from the previous film. So Carl gives the news that Lili Reinhart (Claire Redfield) will be the protagonist of this fourth installment. It is rumored that this fourth film will be based on one of the most beloved chapters of the videogame series, Resident Evil: Code Veronica. These rumors are more and more founded due to a leak for the name of Alexia Ashford among the characters present in this film. The leak also reveals the name of the actress who will play her in the film, Vanessa Kirby. Will it all be true? However,Vanessa denied when a reporter asked her about this news. Vanessa Kirby
Also on Reddit an anonymous user posted a photo with some simple words "Alexia Ashford. Wait and see." . It is real? The photo posted on Reddit that portrays Evan Rachel Wood as Alexia Ashford. Also,in the end, I am happy to announce that a fantastic director like David Fincher has agreed to direct a film based on a screenplay written by Ben Collins which will tell a story of great courage and unity by a group of young Spanish girls in the 15th century. Filming should begin in a few weeks.
