And Finally The Quiver ... This is awarded to a writer that's films all received over 70. However a new rule this year is that a writer that has written over 3 films that season just needs to over 70 to qualify. The nominees;
APJ - Urban Cowboy (75)
Roy Horne - Cecil (83) & Poison Ivy (83)
John Malone - Klondike (84) & Superman: The Last Son of Krypton (76)
Chad Taylor - Kansas City (82), Prodigy (68), Tokyo Rose (75), Spider-Man (79)

It's so crazy to see Roy Horne (which i see as the underdog) would be tie to Chad Taylor. A big Applause to both of them indeed!

The race was so close for THE QUIVER. I even think at one stage Malone was ahead in the votes too. It can all come down to one vote in the end

WELCOME LAST RESORT FILMS! IT’S TIME FOR THE SEASON 21 SILVER STAR AWARDS!Tonight is the night we will see the results from your votes for each category of Season 21. I’m H.G. Hansen, and I am honored to host and curate this show. I want to give a shout-out to Jimmy Ellis, the creator of the SSAs, as he created a great alternate to the Golden Reels and let me take the reigns to let the show go on. So without further ado, let’s begin the show with the first category… THE NEW GUARD AWARD!The New Guard - The award given to those debuting or returning after ten seasonsKathryn Bigelow - Director - Wonder Woman: Kathryn Bigelow started her LRF career with Mr. Big & October Crisis, which were critically acclaimed but with a moderately decent BO draw. Since her last film, Bigelow has been gone for twelve seasons for her to come back giving, us the LRF/DCEU debut of the Amazon Goddess, Princess Diana herself. The film made a profit of $284,482,583 and has us looking forward to what’s in store. Aaron Paul - Actor - Ghost Rider: Speaking of making a long-due comeback w/ a superhero property, Aaron Paul was always looked at as the next breakout from TV star after Breaking Bad. He’s had decent success in the earlier days starring in films like Heart of Stone then Outlaw Country. But since his last film, Life of a Champion Pt. 2, Paul hasn’t been seen for eleven seasons only to play a Marvel character fans have wanted to see done right. Paul delivers, of course, with the films delivering $57,697,540 in profits. I look forward to Paul’s performance as the Devil’s Bounty Hunter. Kate Mara - Actress - Rodeo: Since her debut in Season 3, Kate Mara has had a rough go of it, never really getting that role that shows her talent. So after fourteen seasons away, Kate Mara doesn’t just co-star w/ a top-billing star Tom Cruise, not just in one of the top ten films, but she’s gone ahead and won Best Actress for it. What a way to make a comeback. Speaking of comebacks… Jim Carrey - Actor - My Musical Adventure in Another World as an Old Man! & Golden Girl: Not since Season 9 in Spark of Madness as Magic Man, comedy legend Jim Carrey hasn’t been seen a lot, but he makes up for it w/ playing in a unique and weird musical and then an ensemble piece w/ DiCaprio, Crowe, Kendrick, and Rian Johnson. My reaction is if he’ll be sticking around, “well alrighty then….” Tatanka Means - Actor - Red Wolf: Tatanka Means had the challenge of playing an unknown character in a new creative way than the comic, and may I say he succeeded past expectations. Red Wolf was a grounded and creative film that only shows Means might be the next breakout star. Now for the envelope… The winner is…TATANKA MEANS FOR RED WOLF!.
Congrats to Tatanka as he gives a speech thanking the SSAs and the voters for this award and thanks to his family and community for their support. He finishes with gratefulness to be working for a studio working towards diversity in filmmaking.

Wow, what a great set of nominees. It just makes me hope I don’t have to wait for another ten seasons to see them in a film again. Now onto the next category, which is… THE GONG AWARD!The Gong - T he award given to an actor/actress that had the best performance in a film under the 59 Metacritic rating. Nick Robinson - Rookie’s Road - Curtis - 6 LRF Appearances - 1 GRA Nomination Saoirse Ronan - Tough Girl - Jaime - 9 LRF Appearances - 1 GRA Nomination Dakota Fanning - Blue is the Warmest Color - Emma - 4 LRF Appearances - 1 GRA Nomination Paul Rudd - Gigantor - Dr. Bob Brilliant - 5 LRF Appearances Scott Eastwood - Resident Evil 4 - Leon S. Kennedy - 3 LRF Appearances Okay, gotta say that’s exciting bet they’re looking forward to this like Halle Berry did for her Razzie for Catwoman. So let’s get the envelope, and the winner is… SCOTT EASTWOOD FOR LEON S. KENNEDY OF RESIDENT EVIL 4!
Scott Eastwood gives his acceptance speech through Zoom, thanking the fans of RE4, hoping fans are excited for RE5 acting like he’ll be in it till he gets a call from a guy named “James,” giving him the bad news won’t be in that film which ends the connection.

Scott… Scott… Well, I’m sure that’ll work itself out… I mean, it’s not like he’s in a series that have multiple characters to use… Wink, wink. Anyway, let’s get into the first movie category of the night for films that tickle your funny bone or move your feet… THE BEST COMEDY/MUSICAL AWARD! The Best Comedy/MusicalRookie’s Road Winter’s Displeasure Pontiac My Musical Adventure in Another World as an Old Man!The winner of Best Comedy/Musical is… PONTIAC BY Jimmy Ellis & John Malone
The dark comedy about estranged siblings dealing with the loss of a parent in their own way was the top favorite, and hats off to this film and the other nominations hoping for more films like these to continue this category.
