I'm going to have to agree with the critics on Isla Vista. I found the lack of real insight into Elliot Rodger's psychology to be disappointing. I also feel that Jeff Stockton's comparison to Chapter 27 is pretty fitting - It sounded good on paper and had an interesting enough cast, but just didn't seem to figure out why it was telling the story, if that makes sense.

Loved Newbury Street. Couldn't discern the tone at first but the film really gets rolling mid-way through and Damon is so good in that lead role.

Glad you liked it, Chad Taylor. I really just wanted to give Damon a role that I feel he'd excel at, and if you ask me his two best performances were The Talented Mr. Ripley and The Departed, so I was trying to play to those strengths with the character.

I'm just gonna say I tried my best with BioShock y'all. I never loved the game but I hopefully made something to at least hold my head up to. I hope you guys enjoy it.

Gotta say I was surprised The Troop got such a good response. I liked it till the end which felt uncomplete. Good for Hallowayne

Bear town was fine it wasn’t excellent or anything like Jeff Stockton said there have been a lot of films on this topic and you have to reinvent the wheel or something if you want to do a topic this hot or as tried this many times. It reminded me a lot of Trust the movie with Clive Owen which wasn’t bad but it felt a little like a Lifetime movie but it wasn’t bad. I did however really like Red Farm. I’m a sucker for these kinds of thrillers.

I agree. I mean BEARTOWN could have had more of a family aspect to it to give Rockwell or Akerman more to do. Also the main teens could have been used to have more of an inside look to how people treat victims when something like sports becomes involved. But I totally disagree with Jeff Stockton. Even if the movie isn't good, we shouldn't try to stop making films about uncomfortable topics. I have a family member thats a victim and it's something that needs to be talked about

Even if the movie isn't good, we shouldn't try to stop making films about uncomfortable topics. I have a family member thats a victim and it's something that needs to be talked about I'm all for a movie tackling uncomfortable subjects as long as it has something interesting or unique to say about it. Most movies that have recently been tackling the topic of sexual assault appear to only be doing so to try and cash in the topic being in the news. They aren't saying anything new or really trying to delve into the real underlying issues. They've pretty much all been taking the more Lifetime dramatic angles like alextheman said. As far as I'm concerned, a movie can be about any topic in the universe, but if it isn't saying anything interesting or taking a new angle on it, it probably wasn't worth making - and more than likely isn't worth watching. Pretty much that's my long way of saying that you can say whatever you want if your movie is good - if your movie is bad, it better at least be interesting or unique or your message is not going to land or have any impact. Plain and simple.

Gotta love a good callback to the ol' Ryder-Stockton relationship He likes to ride on my coat tails. On the topic of Kingmaker Chronicles, the film was completely written by Mo and Dominic.
