Yah it’s definitely the first released one of my films that I started getting into the groove of writing for Last Resort Films with. Oh Johnny Boy and Isla Vista are coming out next both of which I”m excited about.

I def agree with you on the character development. I originally wanted less because I wanted it to be weirder and offbeat but I realize that now.

Gotta admit, I kinda liked The Host. Sure there wasn't much character development, but I loved how surreal and insane the world around the characters was and sometimes, a horror movie is best when you don't know what's going to happen next. And in that aspect, The Host succeeded.

I thought The Host could have used a bit more character development and plotting, but I did like the weird, creepy moments throughout. I really liked the poster Admin made as well (I like that it used the image of the panda masks and felt it captured to odd, unsettling tone of the film well). Yeah the character development would have been nice like what really happened with the doc's girl and more of how the main character is changing almost. But I dug it.

I’m glad everyone liked it. I wanted to push boundaries and I also thought it would be a good vehicle for Joaquin Pheonix. Also like APJ said the poster was really dope. It was really dope. I’m also really glad I picked Yorgos Lanthimos.

Also I’m thinking about doing a prequel with The Host.

I really enjoy this seasonal post about the salaries. One thing I wanted to ask. Does the cast of JLI is included in this or not? I figured Ryan Gosling would at least make more than $15M for his fourth outing as The Question.

JLI cast members are included. I considered doing an honorable mentions section, but most of the talent in that section ended up being from the JLI cast, so it seemed a bit too repetitive. Armie Hammer was the highest paid cast member in the film with a salary of $14.5 million. Who's to say The Question is a member of the JLI? Gosling was not included in any In Development posts regarding the film...

Really? I swear I saw it at some point. Must be that funny brain of mine playing tricks again. It's good to know and thanks fks for answering.
P.S. Upon verification, no, Ryan Gosling hasn't been mentioned in the In Development section. I just want to see him as the Question again, dammit!

I assure you The Question will play a part in the future of the DC Comics Universe, I just don't want to spoil anything...

Really enjoyed JLI. Simple but effective. I liked the tease at the end.

Thanks, Chad Taylor. Obviously a lot has changed at the studio since I took my hiatus. It's nice to be back, although I certainly didn't expect to have three things released all on the same day.

Just going to drop this here, Keri Russell is the 1200th actor to be casted on a LRF project.
Crazy, right?
