After discussing it with Admin , I would like to announce a new segment I will be starting next season where I will re-evaluate past films from the studio. To start, the segment will just be three times for the season (rounds 3, 6 & 9), and we'll see how it goes from there. If there are any films you would like me to take a fresh look at next season, or if you have any ideas for a name of the segment (leaning toward Re-Evaluation with Jeff Stockton, but I'm open to other suggestions), post them below.

I didn't understand what this new segment consists of:) It's still a work in progress, but the gist would be to see if a well-reviewed film has stood the test of time or a negatively-reviewed film fares better upon a re-evaluation.

Feel like "Re-Evaluation" would be a fine name but another option might be "A Second Look"

So here's where this stands.... It's going to be called A Second Look (thanks Chad Taylor ). Each post will feature a bit of a retrospective of each film, my original thoughts on the film and my new take on the film after taking a fresh look at it. Keep posting suggestions for films to cover, or even things you would like me to include in each post.

How do you keep getting more jobs?
Jokes aside i think you should take a look at movies that were released before your segment started.

I'm honored to have been the first film selected for this. I think this is a lovely idea for a segment, especially given the amount of films we're up to now at the studio (seriously...it's so awesome that we've all poured this much creative talent into this thing).
It's admittedly been a while since I've thought about Girl/Girl as it's probably the poorest-received script of my career (which I totally get). I've always been annoyed with myself since the release that I probably straddled the line a bit too much between sentimental romance and the serious drama. Plus the salary controversy hung over the film's release a bit at the time so it's nice to see it revisited now with a bit of hindsight. Perhaps I'll give it another read now, as well (which I guess is the goal of this whole segment!).
Look forward to more of these in the future.

It truly is interesting to look back at past movies and try to see if our opinions have changed. Having read the movie after looking through the collumn, I found Girl/Girl to be quite good though I will agree the ending was a little too clean given the subject material.
Anyways, if I had to make a request, I would love to see Time Passages get a second look. In a way, it represented a change in the sort of movies I write and it would be interesting to see if it still holds up.

The original grade is the same grade I provided the studio with my initial review of the film.
