My three films I wanted to hype up
Season 31-Anarchy. This is a movie that’s kind of a teen flick but also is like a cat and mouse type movie. It’s a film about a socialist angry teenager who doesn’t know how to express himself correctly.
Season 31-Repeal and Replace-This is a film about the repeal and replace battles in 2017 of Obamacare. I tried to keep this as non partisan as I could.
Season 32- A Tale Of Love and Darkness- A film version of the novel. I’m really proud of the adaptation. I love the book made some changes for the screen made it my own but hopefully honored the spirit of the book.

Joshua Collins on a role, churning out 3 films in about a month. My latest one is one I've had on my mind for many many years. When a guy gets a baby dropped on his doorstep, seemingly the baby is his, he and his sister(also his roommate) set out on a road trip to send the baby back to the mother. Only problem is, he has no idea who, and isn't left with much to go off of, so he must confront the possible mothers along the way. With his troubled sister tagging along, you'll get lots of laughs, even some moments that are downright tragic but characters that will feel real in an absurd world of leaving babies at doorsteps and going on a wild goose hunt searching for their mother. Punch-Buggy, named after that ole classic game where we had an excuse to hit our siblings when we saw VW Beetles on road trips 😆

Went through the castings of my upcoming films and checked out the database to see what other stuff they were in. Some are new faces, others are returning from a long hiatus, others are well known. Funny to see a few pop up in reunions. Kaitlyn Dever and Timothee Chalamatt worked together in The Giver, but you'll see them show up again in one of my upcomers. Sophia Lillis worked with Timothee in "My Musical Adventure in Another World as an Old Man" as Tim's #1 fan. Coincidentally, you'll see Sophia show up as a crazy clinger former one-night-stand to Timothee. lol you'll just have to see it to get the comparison

They don't really make them much anymore(if at all, it seems like never anymore), but I always had a thing for ensemble films, where several characters have their own things going on in one film. Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Babel, Crash, Requiem for a Dream.. I have successfully pitched my next film and I'm fairly happy with how it turned out. An ensemble with a great cast of strong characters. Love is the central theme to the story. When a man's wife passes away, he must navigate life as a single father widow to his teenaged son and type-1-diabetic daughter. In his grief, he meets a mixed race widowed woman, who lost her husband in a tragic police encounter. Due to this, her son has a distrust for white people. His representation of love is Unity. The teenaged son starts discovering his sexual-identity and has developed a crush on his male best friend. His story arc is trying to fight and hide from his identity, terrified of coming out with his feelings for his friend and outting himself to his family. His representation of love is Confusion. The Type-1 diabetic daughter finds her way to cope with her mother's death by getting a part for a play adaptation of Snow White. She gets a crush on the boy playing Prince Charming. Her representation of love is Innocence. Rounding up the cast of characters is the father-in-law, estranged from his daughter who unfortunately left too many things unsaid, in his grief, he falls for a woman who is on her dying days. She believes him to be her long lost husband. He plays along with it, allowing her to believe he is her long lost husband so she can get those final days with her husband before its too late. His representation of love is Forever(or Eternal) *I'm very much happy with a couple of actors who agreed to sign onto their respective roles: Paul Dano, Steve Martin and Vivien Lyra Blair to name a few!
I am so proud of the 4 upcoming films I got over the next few seasons.
*I know Alex likes theater-kid films, so he'll probably be interested in the daughter's arc as she grows through the cutthroat world of 5th grader theater projects* lol

I am happy to announce that I have just submitted a pitch for my second animated film to the studio. It is in a genre even more outside of my wheel-house than animation in the first place, but I am happy with how it turned out. I'm not going to announce the exact project (although I'm sure Admin will update the schedule at some point), but the hints I will give are that it is in a genre I've never written for and it is based in part on an animated series from the mid 1990s (although that series was also an adaptation).

I got tired of waiting for Hollywood to figure it out and sat down this weekend and wrote out a pitch for a Robopocalypse film, based on one of my favorite novels which I recently re-read.

Getting pumped for Scarface, 1984, Gamera, Black WidowxHawkeye, Justice League.
I'm curious about this "Written by Jason" and in-development doesn't give us much to work with in terms of what the heck it is 😆 no spoilers
I think overall this back half of the season seems to be quite interesting!

I see that the second film of my comeback will be the debut release Season 33. The film is Slashing Through the Snow, a Christmas-themed slasher film. My concept was to somehow combine the ideas of something like the classic Rankin/Bass Christmas specials (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, The Year Without a Santa Claus, etc.) with gory slasher stories like the Terrifier films. I feel it is a fun, slasher twist on a Christmas story. I have a few other projects in the works after that, but I think a re-write of a project I originally started plotting out six years ago, in the early days of LRF, will jump to the top of the list. The project is Night Stalker, based on serial killer Richard Ramirez. At that point I was looking at James Franco to star and direct in the project, but he's aged out of it now but I think I found my leading man/villain with another TBA actor (don't want to say in case they reject the role).
