It’s still crazy to believe that in a round The Hippie Preacher will hit cinemas. I’m super proud of it.

Just gonna say that I'm sorry to those who read the newest film I wrote with my sis, FOREVER HOLD THE PEACE.
I know it's way too long, which is a common complaint of my films that I'm trying to fix. I was gonna trim it down but completely forgot to do that since my job taking a lot of my time and my focus on my projects has changed in the last month or two.
Anyway, I hope we don't get ripped into threads because it was a story my sister and I loved and hits a little close to home for one of us. Hope everyone is doing well and write on.

And in case you wanted some more teasers for coming attractions... I hope you guys enjoy this one! Back in 2021, I had the idea "A 90s sitcom star must film an episode with a bomb under his shirt" - admittedly a very tonally odd logline. So tonally odd that I put it on the shelf, unsure of how to properly tackle that. And then the idea came to bring it to my old friend mobuck and see if he had an angle on it. This is the fifth collaboration between Mo and I. I always admired him and his productivity in those early seasons. Our first collab, Calamity, is still one of my favorite things I've ever done here. That era of LRF feels like a while ago at this point so I'd be curious if it has aged better or worse over time (if you're needing a second look, Mr. Stockton). Doctor Love was an idea he brought to me and I think we just had a lot of fun with that one. So much so that we rolled that into the LRTV gem Showtime (before the Lakers show!), which is the most fun I have had writing anything in my career here alongside the Booster Gold films. I'd recommend going back to check that out if you never did. I think A Following is the weakest of our output but it was another easy co-writing experience nonetheless. All four of those toe difficult genre lines at times and so that brings me back to Time Out!, the latest development from our partnership. Mo latched on immediately and we got to work. I had been hoping to get Patrick Wilson a starring role at some point, so much so that he was my initial suggestion for the lead of E.P. when Jacob came to me for advice. I guess putting him on a TV set just felt right so he was the first choice for the lead role. And then everything else came into place from there. I look forward to hearing any thoughts on the end result, if you have any!

Just ahead of the studio deadline, the cast and story for The Tomb of Dracula, my first attempt at joining the studio's Marvel Universe, is officially finalized! Casting Dracula was quite difficult and I went through a few different "favorite choices" until I finally decided on the right actor for the role. I'm not going to spoil who is cast in the role yet, but here are some of the actors I considered but were not cast as Dracula : Tom Hollander, Olivier Martinez, Jean Dujardin, Joseph Fiennes, Andrew Lincoln, Richard Armitage
Excited to see it next season along with whatever the studio has cooked up for the next Comic-Con.

My next film is in Season 30 and I’m really proud of it. I took a break this season which allowed me to not rush stuff which has led to some bad movies on my part(Tough Girl is a great example).

I just signed up and I am already happy to announce my first two projects for Last Resort Films. As the child of a Japanese father and an American mother, I grew up around a lot of the stuff my father loved as a kid in Japan - namely, Toho monster movies and epic anime series. My first two films will draw upon those two influences... Gamera and Robotech. With Gamera, I have tried to capture the epic scale that Legendary has managed with Godzilla/Kong, but do it with my favorite kaiju, Gamera - a giant prehistoric turtle who is sometimes a destroyer and sometimes a protector of humans. My second film will be Robotech, based on the anime series. I'm trying to capture the epic scale of the series while still focusing on the humanity of the characters. I'm happy to be aboard LRF and can't wait for the release of my first project!

The Scam of Success sounds really interesting. Can't wait til it's released!
I'm also really excited for the reception of Tamahagane, my first collaboration on here. I'm glad Jimmy picked Koji Yakusho for our movie, didn't really know him too well at the time of writing the movie, but just saw him recently in Wim Wenders' Perfect Days and thought he was really great in it!
