Has anyone seen Case Against 8 I’m thinking about doing a feature film adaptation of it. I haven't seen it but, knowing what I know about the story, I assume it would make a formidable film. You could probably start out with a flashback to Bush v. Gore, where your two future protagonists start out as enemies.

Hey my new idea for a biopic is Jonathan Larsen who wrote Rent and I’m fascinated by this idea that he died literally the night before the show premiered and I love this idea of like a film about a playwright in the last year of his life working on a masterpiece of theatre like Rent.

Andrew Garfield is already starring an adaptation of Larsen's autobiographical musical directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Not sure there's really room in the marketplace or even enough material for two films based on or inspired by his life.

Tick Tick Boom is a musical I’m a big fan of but my vision for my film would be after Tick Tick Boom premieres and follows him after that. Another idea is an adaptation of Fun Home not sure if it will be an adaptation of the musical as well. I have not seen the musical but I read the graphic novel and I was a big fan of that.

Fun Home is a film that I’m also planning on directing because the graphic novel is a book that I really love and has been a favorite book of mine since freshman year of high school.

I feel like it would probably be a tricky adaptation considering it's about a young prince in Ancient Japan. Or at the very least, it would be a tricky project to cast in a way that would justify the budget it would require and avoid any potential white-washing controversy.

What if it doesnt have to be in Japan? The problem that I see with that is that Princess Mononoke is one of the few Studio Ghibli movies that is explicitly set in Japan and about a specific ethnic group of people that only lived in Japan - so you'd really have to change A LOT.

Okay how about a fantastical world? Like mixed race regions?

A fantastical setting may be your best bet.

That's what I was thinking cause this is one of my obsessions to do and gonna be working on this for a long time when I'm done with what I need to get done with my new tv show I've been losing sleep completing and my next few movies I'm working on.
