Hey I thought it would be cool if there would be a thread where members could throw out ideas and we could discuss them.

What about a Lauryn Hill biopic?
I'd love to do or see one of those.

How does making a tv show for BioShock Infinite sound? It sounds appealing to me. Just like an Underworld show as well.

How does making a tv show for BioShock Infinite sound? It sounds appealing to me. Just like an Underworld show as well. Looking at my schedule right now, only four original shows remain on schedule for Season 3 (Call My Agent, Gauntlet, Manson and Rolling Stone) compared to six adaptations (The Survivors, She-Hulk, Showtime, Have Gun Will Travel, L.A. Noire and an unnanounced show I'm co-writing) If I hypothetically add H.G. Hansen's Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series, it makes for a seven-to-three ratio and I'm trying to keep this as even as possible. I'm definitely more looking for original series, but I'm not closing the door on those, although I would prefer the Bioshock series over the Underworld series FYI.

Thats cool. Also I just had an idea. I really want to make a hippie movie set in the late 60s or early 70s. I had an idea for a Pineapple Express style movie but set in the late 1960s about two weed dealers and its a road movie and along the way you see the anti Vietnam protests and the civil rights movements and Bob Dylan is in the movie.

I'm thinking about something like a who-done-it/slasher film. About some youtuber that trying a 24 hour challenge it is located in a yatch in the middle of the ocean

Another idea I had is an adaptation of the OJ Simpson book If I Did It. It’s a very chilling book. The OJ Simpson case has been a fascination since I was a kid and my film Suburban which I’m writing and directing is coming out is very heavily influenced by OJ in subtle ways. But yah I want to do this adaptation. I know the miniseries People V OJ which is fantastic but I want to do a film of my own.

I feel like there are two big problematic issues when it comes to an adaptation of IF I DID IT. First, was always intended to tell a hypothetical version of the events and was never intended to represent fact. Second, I feel like an IF I DID IT adaptation would be unlikely to secure the high-profile cast that "The People vs. OJ Simpson" featured. I think a film based on OJ could work if all the pieces fell properly into place, but it would be a tricky line to tread (especially with the acclaim the TV series received - making it a tough act to follow, but not an impossible one).
