Hey I’m thinking about adapting the Netflix documentary series Don’t fuck with my cats. I binge watched it this weekend and it has very deep themes of fame and the internet and is also an incredibly suspenseful and lurid mystery.

Technically speaking, the only time any of The Twilight Zone episodes were directly adapted for film was Twilight Zone: The Movie, although the film The Box is based on the same Richard Matheson short story as the 1986 episode "Button, Button".

I know a lot of stuff about the killer of Don't Fuck with Cats. It was a huge deal around here, but I don't think it would make a good feature film.

Not a big fan of the book but, given your writer tendencies, a Catcher in the Rye adaptation seems like it'd be up your alley

I’m actively writing the Catcher in the Rye adaptation right now and adaptations take a lot longer than original screenplays which is funny because it should be easier at first glance. But yah I was gripped by the Netflix series in a way I haven’t been by a feature film in a while. But yah I’m mostly focusing on my screenplays but yah.

The movie isn't going to get made but a sequel of novel "Call be by your name" is "Find me".

I've actually been thinking about two new film ideas, both of them being animated movies. The first movie is about a dinosaur who miraculously survives the meteor and becomes the symbol of a Native American tribe. The other is about a princess from outer space who after being banished for a crime she didn't commit and alongside an intelligent doe and a human must find a way to re-enter space to clear her good name.
Right now, i'm leaning towards the former idea cause I think I have a good idea on what I want to do for the story, and that's to find that happy medium being too mature and being too childish. It's the case for both movies, but if handled correctly, B.C is going hit harder emotionally.

The first idea about the surviving dinosaur sounds intriguing. The space princess and the talking deer idea honestly just seems too weird to actually work at the end of the day.

Perhaps but you can't fully say an idea can't work nowadays
