Generally speaking, if a writer contacts Admin and gives enough required information for their plans on a property, the studio will give that writer exclusive rights to develop that property on a temporary basis.

Curious if anyone wants to see a Theater Kids 2 with the characters being older and James McAvoy playing the Lucas Hedges part Theodore and it would be about Jenna struggling in the NY theater scene while Theodore is thriving and he just won a Tony.

Why not make it a spiritual successor? Like not attached completely?

Great idea! Thanks this is now my next movie. I worked on it all day today and i'm now 500 words in.

I don't know if you're into games or not, but I'd recommend at least looking up the storyline for Days Gone. Doesn't have to be An adaptation, but something that could potentially wet the idea some for ya. A zombie apocalypse where the main story is the lead character trying to find out about his missing wife and its been like a year or two since the zombie invasion.

So I plan on doing a sci-fi comedy with Evan Peters & Jonathan Majors. It was a new take on a popular IP, but how about Majors' business being put out? I'm having trouble with who could replace him.

What does everyone think about this?

When there are casting issues such as this, the studio usually takes a bit of a wait and see approach to let the legal matters work themselves out. So that is what we would recommend for now given that any release date would probably be at least a few seasons away for this project. If the legal matters are resolved, then generally the rule of thumb we follow is that we will hire talents that other companies/studios are hiring for projects in the real world as well.

Why?! Why not do something inspired by it? There's no need to remake a timeless classic. Learn from the mistake of Hollywood studio nowadays, just bringing back old shit to just remake it isn't always a good thing. Why not do your own take on the story by being different instead of using it's good will?
