Hey so I’m a big fan of history and politics as some of you know and I’ve akways wanted to make a film about the modern political era and I just read the sequel to Game Change the book about 2008 that was adapted into the HBO movie. I want to adapt the book. I want to do something different than my usual depressed teenage alternative rock movie and I want to write a movie that’s accessible for everyone. I’m thinking also about doing something that’s not TV movieish.

While there were things I liked about movies like The Front Runner or Vice, I've never been too interested in the Jay Roach movies because I kind of just lived through them and they felt like ploys for an actor to play dress-up as a well-known figure and get an Emmy nom (I feel similarly about the movies Pacino and de Niro do for HBO).

But if you think you have an angle that can make for an interesting movie, then go for it. I feel like that should always be priority number when writing a script.

Lately, i want to write about Ziggy Stardust, no, not a David Bowie bio. I want it about the character Ziggy Stardust that bowie wrote but i don't 100% know the lore of Ziggy stardust. Do you guys have a site or what not that can help me?

Also btw Meirad I don’t think the Ziggy idea is a very good idea by all means go for it but the character of Ziggy Stardust is so tied to David Bowie and when I at least think of Ziggy Stardust I think of David Bowie in the costumes and everything. Prove me wrong but I’m just giving my opinion and I think others will feel that way.

I think the Zigguy idea can definitely work. Especially if you get the right actor

I think the Zigguy idea can definitely work. Especially if you get the right actor

I agree that a Ziggy Stardust movie could work with the right pieces in place. The right lead actor and a director with a strong visual sense would obviously be crucial, as would meiradtako figuring out a narrative that makes sense.

I think Tilda Swinton would be outstanding if she were to play Ziggy stardust
