Hey I was thinking about doing a Trayvon Martin movie. About the shooting.

I would recommend being very delicate with the subject matter since it such a controversial subject still, and if you lean too far in either direction you could turn off a huge percentage of the potential audience. One way to make it would be to go with the Fruitvale Station angle of following Martin around in his final day (although from my recollection he was mostly just hanging around playing video games that day), but I'm not sure there's really enough narrative juice for that kind of a story - I can't think of who could have an interesting enough journey to follow through the events. Zimmerman maybe as a flawed protagonist (trying to stick to the proven facts of the story - probably not a good guy and most likely over zealous, but he was not proven to have committed any crime). I don't know though - it seems like it might be too tricky and too full of potential landmines to really work as a feature film.
