I've been thinking of doing a wrestling biopic forever and finally decided to after I'm done with all the film's I'm suppose to do, I wanna do a biopic on "The Macho Man" Randy Savage. Any ideas who should play the title character? It'll mostly be about his time in the WWF. I'm think more of the lines of Jason Mamoa but digitally removing the tats or Joe Manganiello

Manganiello seems a bit more like Savage to me than Momoa, granted I'm not a wrestling expert.

Manganiello surely looks the part, but part of me wonders if he has the larger-than-life part of Macho Man in him. I don't think he has that kind of gravitas in him or that he can really immerse himself in a character. That's a really tough part to cast really, Macho Man was truly unique.

I don't think it really will take a lot of dramatic gravitas to play the Macho Man. Manganiello can do intense and aggressive (evident in the underrated David Ayer film Sabotage), so any of the wrestling stuff shouldn't be too difficult for him. And as a wrestling fan himself, Manganeillo has already developed a solid Macho Man impression. Personally, I think Manganiello can handle the part - and he is due for a leading man test role (and this would be a good one for him).
