Whilst thinking of new ideas of new movies, I decided to listen to a song called Time Passages by Al Stewart. While listening the song, I became curious. What if there was a way I could turn this into a movie? More specifically, what if I could turn this into a jukebox musical consisting of popular songs from the past and the present?
Here's the premise: Three years after graduating high school and celebrating his 21st birthday, Marvin begins to deal with the struggles of being a young adult, having to say goodbye to his parents, deal with all the changes going on in his life and the lingering notion of someone he once knew but has since forgotten.
During one night as he walks across the streets, he comes across a bar singer by the name of Jack who claims to know what his past was like. Jack proceeds to take Marvin on a musical journey across his high school life with encounters with the firecracker Daisy, the preppy socialite Trevor, the easy-going Cassandra, the troubled Mr. Brewer and the girl who wanted to rule the world: Alyssa.
There would be songs from the current decade to all the way back in the early 20th century and vary in different genres and style. But they would all come together to tell a story of someone's past and how the flaws of their past make them better people in the present day.
I've got most of the characters summaries settled on and an initial cast ready, all I need is to write out the story and I think this'll be ready to rock and roll.
