Okay so I'm gonna do a Bioshock movie but have no idea who to cast. keep in mind the CGI will be RIDICULOUSLY expensive.
Jack: Armie Hammer, Ewan McGregor, Jesse Plemons, Matt Damon, Sebastian Stan, & Ryan Gosling
Fontaine/Atlas: Colin Farrell, Clive Owen, Mark Strong, Billy Zane, Sam Rockwell, Tom Noonan, & Jon Hamm
Andrew Ryan: Tom Hanks, Daniel Day Lewis, Bill Night, & Mas Mikkelsen
Sander Cohen: Gary Oldman, Bryan Cranston, Denis O'Hare, & John Waters
Suohong: Joel de la Fuente, Donnie Yen, Ken Watanabe, & John Cho
Tennabaum: Marion Cotillard, Naomi Watts, Franka Pontente, Tilda Swinton, & Scarlett Johannsen
Big Daddy: Andy Serkis, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Chiklis, Adewale Akinnuaye-Agbaje & Hafbor Bjonnsson
Dr. J.S. Streiman: Willem Dafoe or Jean Reno

From that list... Jack: Jesse Plemons (he's developing a good career here at Last Resort Films, so he's due for a big budget lead role) Fontaine/Atlas: Mark Strong Andrew Ryan: Tom Hanks (it would be nice to see him play against type for once) Sander Cohen: Denis O'Hare Suohong: Ken Watanabe (although he's probably too big of a name to accept) Tennabaum: Franka Potente Big Daddy: I don't think you need to list an actor here - all digital (casting an actor would be a waste of money) Dr. J.S. Steinman: I don't like either of those options - Michael Stuhlbarg maybe?

Okay that's a good list. I'm glad you didn't choose Matt Damon for Jack. Also Maggie Elizabeth Jones is going to be the little sisters. And I guess the Big Daddy doesn't need a ride because he's just probably going to be more of the villain of the story.

Jack: I think Sebastian Stan is ready for to headline a blockbuster. This movie doesn't a huge star anyway. It's easily marketable. Fontaine/Atlas: Mark Strong Andrew Ryan : Anyone other than Mads Mikkelsen and Daniel Day-Lewis. The first is always typecasted as villains and it pisses me off real bad. Daniel Day-Lewis is retired and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't even consider the movie in real life. He's a step above blockbusters at this point, he's a god of acting. If he ever comes back to acting (god, I hope so), I'm pretty sure he'll always lead and not play second fiddle. Sander Cohen: Denis O'Hare Suohong: Donnie Yen Tennabaum: Franka Potente or Naomi Watts (Scarlet Johansson, in the 6th role, really?!?) Big Daddy : No actor necessary Dr. J.S. Streiman : Jean Reno
You don't need to fill the cast with stars for this one. As you previously mentionned, the effects will be expensive and you don't want to Kill your box office chances with the cast.

Do you think Tom Hanks would be a good villain or at this point him being the only major star for the phone doesn't seem that bad.

He's accepting more easy paychecks lately, so it would make sense. (Dan Brown trilogy, The Circle and Cloud Atlas. He earned it with his amazing career, so I don't think there's a problem with him doing a Bioshock movie.

I agree that Tom Hanks as Andrew Ryan would be a really smart choice. And I'll also echo those above in that the lead role would be a good spot to elevate Plemons or Stan (as opposed to the bigger names like McGregor or Damon).

If anyone wants to help or work alone on BioShock 2 if the first film does well, I'm open to it.
Idk that the story or the game was as crazy as it was. I mean the whole thing threw me for a loop. I couldn't help but think Gore Verbinski's version would be better the whole time. My take was more faithful but it really wasn't a complete story. If anyone got anything to add or do, just let me know man.
I got my hands full of projects and ideas that I wanna do or have to do. I'm open as the ocean and the breeze.
