We're happy to pass along the following press release:

LOS ANGELES - Hill Valley Entertainment is happy to announce the latest development in its continuing partnership with Last Resort Films. In addition to accepting original pitches from writers, today we are starting a periodic initiative called The Idea Pool. In this initiative, the studio will present a set of unproduced scripts that have a working title, genre, and logline. This is where you come in. If you are in interested in writing one of the scripts, contact HVE through our inbox with the script's name in the subject line. We can then discuss what beginning thoughts we have, what your approach to the material would be and then HVE will decide if we'd like to produce the project. We are also open to turning some ideas into LRF Now Originals. Please note that this is one-script-per-writer so you can only claim one script from each set.

Just want to note that some of these are more developed than others as a few may even have outlines for you to work from. Additionally, some may come as package deals with some actors and directors having already met with the studio about the script. I have a lot of projects that I'm working on at a single time so I envisioned The Idea Pool as a way to lighten my workload a bit and potentially fast-track ideas that I may never get to. 

I also just wanted to say: I decided to expand HVE's reach to LRF Now Originals because I want to help it compete with Netflix. Fuck Netflix - I'm not going anywhere!

Now that we are back in an opening round of an LRF season, it is time for another round of HVE's Idea Pool. If you would like to work on one of these ideas, send a message to this account to lay your claim and any initial ideas you might have. Some of these may already have some starting materials (casting deals, outlines, director ideas, etc.). Priority will be given based on the status of other projects you may have with HVE (i.e. if you already have a HVE in progress, that will be top priority).

I like to call this one the True Story Edition...

Based on a true story, a lawyer in 19th-century America decides to dedicate his brains to learning a new skill: how to kill.

2. Doc
Drama
Based on a true story, a brash doctor toes his own moral and ideological lines when he fills of the role of a friend who has recently been murdered.
