Low budget films

I’m curious if any of you guys have had movies at LRF that started as low budget films that you wanted to make.


Hippies In New York(thought about doing it but realized the period stuff would be hard)

The Vegan Movie(it was an idea me and my friend Tariq came up with when we were 14 and we considered doing it as a low budget feature.)

The Letter J(for a minute this was going to be a low budget movie)

Lovestruck(I had the idea and the title for Lovestruck when I was 11 and thought about making it as a low budget movie for all of my teen years)

ID(was going to be a film that my friend Tariq and I would make on a small budget)

The Host(started off as a short film idea that my friend had that I expanded into a feature.)

Chris Travis and Juliet(thought about making it and then just submitted to LRF

Drugstore Perfume(same as Chris Travis and Juliet)

Graduation Trip(it’s upcoming but yah that movie was based on a funny experience that my friend Tariq had during his graduation trip that I expanded into a feature film idea and then I thought about making it but submitted to LRF anyway)


Suburban(for 2 minutes)

Life Of A Champion and Life of A Champion part 2 (based on an awful feature film trilogy that was never finished that me and my buddy JP were the masterminds behind when we were 11)

The creation of Life Of A Champion has an interesting basis at least for me. It started as like me and my friends making a movie when we were all 10-12. We finished the first movie. Sadly I don’t have it. It’s lost and we started on the second one but didn’t finish.

So when I started at LRF I thought why don’t I try to remember what we did as kids. Actually the second one has a plot that i wish I had used for the LRF version. The plot for the second one that me and my friend JP came up with was there would be further conflicts between Charlie and John and Chris actually we thought at the end of Life Of A Champion Part 2 should kill Charlie and become the new drug kingpin.
