Budget

Hey this is a question I have so a lot of movies that are similar to my films. Like A24 films for instance. Most A24 films have a budget according to Wikipedia of under 15 million. But like my films are like usually in the 20 million dollar range. I don’t think my films are that much bigger than those A24 films. Is there something I’m missing?

With a lot of smaller films or films from smaller companies that aren't major studios, the major talents involved have lots of extra back-end deals in their contracts (percentages of different income sources like sales to bigger companies or outside licensing fees) that allow them to keep films moderately budgeted (even with some high name actors at times). Major studios (which LRF operates as) do not do this. Major studios generally have to pay an actor's actual asking price and only MAJOR STARS have any sort of profit percentage deals (since there is a lot more money at play with a Sony or WB release as opposed to releases from an indie company).

You also gotta put the advertising budget into the overall budget

You also gotta put the advertising budget into the overall budget

The advertising budget is separate from the published (production) budget (in LRF, but also in general)
