I wanted to come here and give an update about my releases this season, along with what I've been working on lately.
This season will see the release of 4 of my films, one of which is co-written. The first will see Taron Egerton's Dick Grayson return after just appearing in Batman: In the Shadows. I wanted to write a Dick Grayson film for a while and never had the right angle. I believe that I have in fact, found that angle. As the whole cast is known I can talk about this the most. I had a blast writing this (and the hopeful sequel to this). Playing in the DC (more so Batman) sandbox was a lot of fun. As everyone that keeps up with the In Development posts are aware, Michael Pitt returns as Roman Sionis aka Black Mask, a role that he played all the way back in Season 4, I think it is safe to assume it may be a little different from the first time you saw him. Another returning character will be Karl Glusman's Firefly, now he was lots of fun to write, he too appeared as the character first in season 4 as well as reprising him in season 11's Martian Manhunter. I am a fan of Karl Glusman and Firefly so I wanted to include him. His performance as Perceval in Excalibur is one of my favourites here at LRF and I am still bummed he didn't receive a nomination to this day. A character that some people seem to hate is Roy Harper, he has been used very strangely in the comics and I wanted to introduce him here, as I felt as though he belonged to this story in particular. All in all I can't wait for y'all to see it.
I wanted to leave off the talk about Grayson with a sneak peak at the film, a tension filled opening scene.
"I’m Done, two words that hang around in the air. Dick Grayson (Taron Egerton) walks away after the heated argument he just had with Bruce Wayne. After giving him some time to cool off, Barbara Gordon (Madelaine Petsch) comes to talk to him. He says he can no longer be here under Bruce’s control, he needs to leave, he adds there are other cities out there that need his protection. She asks why he doesn’t just go hang with his pals he met when the psions attacked. He says that he just wants to branch off and do his own thing for a while. She nods and says it will be different without him. She asks if he has told Alfred, he shakes his head no and asks Barbara to tell him for him. She agrees to this. She asks what’s next for him. He looks to her and says he is going to go to Bludhaven."

My second release of the season will be Silver Sable. I approached Chad, knowing that he was using Silver in a Black Cat film. He had stated that he had no real plans for a solo film so I asked his permission to take her off his hands, I am grateful he said yes. This film came together rather quickly when i knew what I wanted. This is an origin. This is set before Black Cat Strikes Again! I loved using the characters and hope to use them again. See Silver Sable starring Diane Kruger in cinemas near you.

I just wanted to come here and say, I am going on a 6 week writing hiatus. I will still be around the proboards and reading the films coming. I also want to say this, if ANYONE has anything they want me to read and want feedback on, send it through, as I said I will still be around for messages but will not be writing for the next 6 or so weeks. Send something through and I’ll let you know my thoughts.

TASK FORCE X: CHAOS AND MADNESS SPOILERS!!!
The characters for Task Force X: Chaos and Madness are so fun to write, especially the ones that would no longer take part in the series.
I felt it was necessary to part ways with Elongated Man, he has been my favourite character to write, and I do hope to write for him in the future, not sure on what capacity though.
As for Heatwave, I love the character, my second favourite to write for, you will see his death carry on in the future.
I “killed” off my two favourite cataract era to write as I wanted to challenge myself, and it was what was best for the story.
I hope you guys liked task force x 2 as much as I enjoyed writing it, I look forward to moving further with the team in the future

Well, that was an amazing Comic-Con. 4, yes 4 of my films for next season got announced, and I can say I am excited about every single one.
Luke Cage: Power Man, although not my first release of the season will be my first comic book film. Man, I loved working on this film. Dwight and myself knew from the get go we wanted this to be set in the past. This is some of the most fun i've had writing a film here at LRF and I can't wait for all to see it. I think Omari Hardwick is amazing as Luke Cage and I hope you all agree.
Birds of Prey. This one was a long time coming. I messaged APJ about a potential film a long while back, we had similar ideas and it just clicked. We were glad to get Rose Leslie in as Poison Ivy as she was casted a long time ago, but never got to play the role. This film is fast paced and I hope you guys like it.
Daredevil. Dwight introduced him in Elektra. He never had a solid plan for a film, so I asked to take over. I tried to balance the courtroom things with the action and I think I have done a good job at that. A certain older brother of an MCU superhero will appear in this film, but will he be a friend or foe to Matt. I have also reunited with an actor I have worked with in the past as Foggy Nelson.
Blue Beetle: Legacy. This was simple, Blue Beetle deserves another movie. At first I had no idea what to do and then it just started rolling. I knew I wanted the presence of all Blue Beetles and I believe I struck gold with what I did. The reveal of Christopher Lloyd was fantastic. He doesn't have an enormous role as Dan Garret but it is quite a pivotal role. It will very much be a film about grief and will see Jaime battle a threat he is yet to see. I loved writing this, as well as all the others.
I hope everyone appreciates the way I went with the characters.

Hopefully people like the our 1970s version of Luke Cage, as there will be more of that retro vibe setting in the future with some other characters...
