Pretty stoked to announce that I have successfully completed a pitch for an adaptation of Earthbound. Had to cut a lot of things down, considering a 30 hour game had to be condensed to about 2-2.5 hours, but I hope we ended up doing a good job telling the story. The game itself reminds me of those classic “group of kids must search for and destroy evil” in the vein of The Goonies, Monster Squad, even films without the fate of the universe at stake like Sandlot or Stand By Me. So I mainly wanted to stick with that in mind, just with Earthbound themes and elements incorporated into it, a few wink and nods to the game.

Very much looking forward to this upcoming round, Twisted Metal seems to have the talent involved, I look forward to how it shapes up. I am super pumped for Whaling, sounds like it could be Wyatt Allen's best work, and I am excited for you guys to see the latest Ellis/Malone collaboration.

Ooh, I remember reading about a Calvin and Hobbes movie in Crazy Moon Studios. Hopefully it goes better here! I remember a little about it. It was during the early days of CMP. It seemed like the voice cast was off and there didn’t seem to be much going for it plotwise. Maybe for an episode for a TV show it could have worked, but it was missing a lot more meat to it to make it more like a movie. Plus I think it barely scratched the surface of what you’d get out Calvin and Hobbes. Not really any of Bill Watterson’s philosophy and lacked Calvin’s ginormous imagination. Not to toot my own horn or nothin but I think it does at least a better job understanding the comic strip than that old one, with a lot of C&H fan service points 😁 |

I’m very curious about Tako’s film about Ziggy Stardust. Cool idea, always thought that could have been something akin to The Wall or somethin.
Will it be a rock opera musical, or will it be a regular film? Does it call back to film styles of the era of which the music came out(circa Flash Gordon)
