If you haven't noticed yet, the latest James Morgan Show is out and he talks about Season 2 shows! Yes! Season 2 shows! It's never too early to pitch a pilot and we are currently accepting them. It could give you the chance to write your episodes in advance, so you're not pressured by the schedule to come out with an episode every week! Last Resort Television needs you to work and operate because we can't do it without shows! So send those pitches so we can have a nice Season 2! lastresorttv.blogspot.com/2019/04/the-james-morgan-show-s1e7.html

I don't usually comment on peoples' films or shows, but I was just catching up with all of the LRTV shows, and feel like I have to say how much I love "Nez Perce" so far. The second episode was a little slow, but damn did Episode 3 knock my socks off. It's just really good slow burn storytelling from showrunner Scott Cooper and writer Dwight Gallo.

Piggy-backing off of John's feedback, I just wanted to comment on the brilliant choice of using Altamont for Rolling Stone's pilot. As soon as it was revealed as Brady's assignment, I thought "awww shit". A perfect surprise at just the right point in the episode to have me hooked lil the end. And if you haven't seen Gimme Shelter, go check it out!

You've probably seen that there was no Fa-Sass episodes today. I didn't have internet access for the day and wasn't able to post it in time, so next week will be a double feature.

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to say a few things about LRTV.
First off, I hate to say this, but I have to implement another rule: there will now be a 24 hour time limit to submit your scripts. I want to receive your episodes in advance so I have the time to post it in time. It has become more and more frequent and I can't keep up anymore. So, starting from now, if I get at least two-episodes too late, I'll pull the plug on the show and cancel it mid-season. A real television network wouldn't tolerate a show that doesn't deliver its episodes on time, so after taking the time to think about it, I think it's the best way to make sure I get the episodes on time and I hope you guys can understand that.
I now want to talk a little bit about Season 2. Some people may think they don't get enough time to write the episodes and it prevents them from jumping on the Last Resort Television train. I decided to resolve the issue for Season 2. There wasn't much time to prepare for Season 1 and I know that. So that's why there will be a two-month break between our seasons. We still have a lot of open spots for our next season, so if you pitch an idea (no need for a pilot episode this time around, just the main idea and main and recurring cast will do) today, it will give you more 113 days to write most of your show, plus 10 other weeks to write the remaining episodes, so I think it's perfectly doable (almost 200 days to write a 10 episode-show = 1 episode per three-weeks). I really want this to succeed, so I'm giving you plenty of time, because it can't be a success if you guys don't participate.
I've also had writers messaging me, worried that they didn't have time to write and I want to say that now is the perfect time to jump in, you have plenty of time to write for our second season. If the word-limit scares you, then you don't have to write 2000-words episodes, very few writers do. A 500-word episode is fine and so is a 1500-word one, we don't judge on length. I hope all of this will encourage writers to write for Last Resort Television and it would really motivate me to continue if you do, because right now, I feel like I'm scrapping the bottom of the motivation barrel.
I just want to end by saying that current shows will be renewed on the James Morgan show tomorrow night!

I have an anthology series that's found footage that would require different writers and directors for each episode to do. Is this possible? Cause I'm getting stories from different people it'll lead to an overall story like VHS 2. That would play out like Creepshow/Twilight Zone

Each episode will obey to the rules but it'll be a good Sunday late evening showing. I can be the ex-producer as could each person writing a story.

I think it would reinvent the found footage genre. Maybe just call it VHS since you're basing it off of it.

Not trying to speak for Mo here, just giving my opinion, but I feel like having a different director for every episode doesn't really fit into the format of LRTV. Especially since the Executive Producer/Pilot Director is specifically designated already to give the audience the vibe of the overall series. A different director/EP for each season sounds more feasible if you ask me. When setting up the rules, one of the things already discussed was that a show would have one person for that role, rather than having multiple directors. People arguing about this director/exec. producer decision has already led to official warnings for certain writers, so I don't think it should really be re-opened.
