To me, it felt too much like watching someone play the video game. The main character simply didn't feel like a character to me. Rather he just did the things the main character does in the game, rather than feel like a living, breathing human character. That tends to be the biggest issue when video game adaptations don't work - a film protagonist is whole different beast than a player character in a video game.

The recent list is fake news just ask Stockton. I'm sure Jeff thinks Standing Back should be Top 5, at least!

I’m grateful for your lists, Sherman, for keeping the memory of Swim Through the Darkness alive.

I'm honored to be considered for a top ten list. I don't even think most of my films are good but thank you.

Didn't we already had a top 10 teen movies?

There was a Top 10 Teen Movies, this time around Sherman got more specific by only looking at the Teen Dramas. If I recall, that list featured some of the more comedic entries like Be More Chill.

Admin is correct. Eventually there will most likely be repeats of Top 10 lists if there have been enough new qualifying films since the first incarnation.

Just wanted to say that this is round's top ten is something I have often wondered about. Maybe not romance films specifically but I have thought about the studio's best romances.

I knew I wanted to do something that would tie in Jessica Chastain somehow since she is appearing in an LRF production for the first time in over 10 seasons, but it was tricky to find something that worked (turns out she was in less LRF projects than I thought) so I had to get a little innovative. The idea sprung when I realized that her acclaimed performance in Mr. Big was her follow-up to her Best Actress win for Sinkhole, so I was guessing there had to be some other good Best Actress follow-up performances out there.
