I know the last film just came out, but if this was scheduled for a wayyyy further release, could it be possible to make a full trilogy of Girl with A Dragon Tattoo?

H.G. and I are gonna do the first one because he had an interesting take on it. But you can join too. We can always use extra help since this has already been adapted before.

We're planning on changing a few details of the story like we plan on changing old man from a white character to Morgan Freeman and Joel Edgerton as Mikael who will be named Michael and hopefully Claire Foy as Elizabeth. Then Idris Elba as Gottfield to Garfield.

Okay I talked to H.G. and this is who we'd like.
1. Danny Boyle, he might not be available since one of us is gonna use him in a pitch 2. Tom Ford - he might work but he really hasn't had a lot of experience with bigger budget movies 3. Luca Guadagnino - maybe somce we both saw Suspira and liked it 4. Andrew Dominik - maybe also but he'd be our last pick
We were also talking about these guys as well.
Ben Affleck, Scott Cooper, J.A. Boyana, or James DeMonaco
Tarsem Singh - we both aren't fans of him Darren Aronofsky - his style isn't what we are looking for.

Not that I want to interrupt your work here, but I just want say that I was a huge fan of the Swedish films (RIP Michael Nyqvist) and I thought the American remake is already pretty good, so I'm eager to see what you'll do to make it better

H.G. pitched a great idea of how to recreate the first book to give it it's own flare while honoring the source material. I mean I think he did a good job on Dark Places so I'm just waiting to have him send me the rough draft and we'll work from there. I can say this though. We will have some character changes and a few plot details tweaked but if you are a fan of the Swedish films you'll love what we are going for. That's why getting the perfect fit for director is important

Mara will not be in the film at all. Claire Foy is our main target

Tbh I saw Girl In Spiders Web I would prefer getting someone new like Dakota Johnson.

I have to agree with Alex on this one. Not on suggesting Dakota Johnson, but rather suggesting against Foy. She looked like a deer in headlights throughout the movie, completely lacking the intensity a role like Lisbeth Salander requires.
