Got any of your own on LRF films that didn't pan out the way you may have wanted now that you look back on it? What do you regret doing or wish you would have done different? I have plenty for pretty much all of them lol. Here's what I came up with for what I've done:
Watch Dogs I would agree with many of the critics that there should have been more hacking involved. What is pretty neat with the games is how you could scan any NPC on the streets and it'll give you a little blip of their personal life. There's also plenty of interesting missions that could have been included, especially the one that involves taking down a sex trafficking ring. Could have used a stronger story and characters fleshed out that seemed to have only been mentioned a handful of times.
Undefeated Abe: I had one idea in my head and what came out was basically an entirely different movie lol. I liked leaning into the Abe as a wrestler and being the first to be involved in making it more of a spectacle than a real fight. It could have probably been better as a Walk-Hard style of comedy that leans into the territory of absurdity over taking itself too seriously.
Calvin and Hobbs: A lot went wrong with this one, like previously mentioned I had a completely different idea that just didn't make it to the paper. The plot just wasn't strong enough to hold for an hour and a half.
Robocop vs Terminator It definitely helped the studio make some money, but I do wish I went with less of a comic adaptation. When you see something called Robocop vs Terminator, you expect Robocop vs the T-100, not three Terminators(none of which are the T-100) and a robot dog.

Honestly quite a lot. I didn't have much experience in writing stories before writing for LRF, so I think If I would rewrite my earlier movies now they would come out very different. I would especially love to get a second chance at writing Antarctia and Whaling.
With Antarctica I should have done a lot more with the characters, make the viewer really care for them, it would have made the ending so much better.
Whaling is still my highest rated movie, but I think it had some weird casting choices and the ending was rightfully critized. I had no idea how to end it when writing it and rushed it in the end.
Even though they both turned out pretty good I still think they had so much more potential.
Camp Manhood and An Eye for an Eye are movies I probably wouldn't write today Just like you often feel like I digress from my initial idea and having my movies come out not as I want them to be.

I am fairly satisfied with the vast majority of my filmography, but one film that comes to mind for me for this subject would be Star Trek: Enterprise. I've always been a huge Star Trek fan (mostly original series), so I decided to make a big screen version of one of the groups of characters. Since I could not for the life of me figure out who could play a young Picard, I decided to tackle the Enterprise crew. I think I was a little unambitious with my casting, which affected the characterization in the story. In hindsight, I think that if I was a bit more creative with the casting, I could have potentially been more creative with how I wrote the characters. I also think that Enterprise, being one of the lesser Star Trek television series in terms of viewership/popularity, may not have been the best choice. There are still many things I am proud of with the story - mostly some actions scenes and some world-building. As a whole though, it didn't tie together as the blockbuster, along the lines of JJ Abrams' Star Trek films, that I was hoping for. One of these days I would love to make a return to the world of Star Trek (if possible), but I have to admit that the original Enterprise crew may not be the most viable group to base a film around.

I think most of my films have at least one thing that, if I'm not disappointed by, feel could have been executed better on my end. That's not to say they're bad, a lot of them have been pretty solid, but when they're bad, they're especially bad. I'll list out the worst offenders:
Story of Sade: This was my second film for the studio and...boy howdy does it show. Yes, I was in high school at the time, but I'm sorry, there's no excuse for stereotyping, haphazard plotting and a nonsensical story. Really, Story of Sade was just a mess in general, but a teachable experience at least.
Odette: Probably the worst all-round casting job I've ever done and that's saying something given some of the blunders I've made over the years. The sad thing is that the film itself isn't that bad. It's got a strong plot and keeps the mythos of Swan Lake relatively sound. However, Odette also has Elijah Wood as a prince and Natalie Dormer as a princess. That is...not great!
The Youngest Hart: ...This is still the film I like the least, mainly because of how badly I wrote the main antagonist and how I handled the feedback, which, mind you, wasn't even terrible. But given I set this film up to be an award contender, this wound up being a major disappointment.
Corndog: Alex Wolff as a fire-seeker ace for a baseball may well be the worst casting choice I have ever made for any of these films. In what world does he look...remotely believable in this role? Perhaps if I had swapped Alex and Tyler's roles around, maybe even signed Nat instead, this film could have had a chance.
Rookie's Road: Let me put it this way. When the only scene I liked in the entire film was the "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" musical number that, let's be honest, was only meant to be a "Big Lipped Alligator Moment", you know it's a bad movie.
Khumba the Flying Zebra: I got lucky that the genetic explanation of Khumba's condition didn't cost me more goodwill than it already did regarding this film. Sure, it's my highest profiting film but it was easiest the most unnecessary part in what was otherwise, a good film.
D.I.C.K: All of it. Absolutely the worst film I've made for this studio. There's nothing good about it at all. It's so bad, I told Dolan not to include it for award season. It's that bad, y'all!
Victims: Actually, this is still a strong film for the most part, but I do wish I had made Michael B. Jordan's character a bit more likable, maybe a scene that showed he's not completely gone yet early on?
Connected: Everything about that film just felt off with the exception of the casting and maybe the main character's mother and her storyline. Endless fluff that could've been carved out and really highlighted was what a sorely disappointing season for me.
Tara's World: So as some of you can tell, I'm not the biggest erotica guy in the world. This was exposed big time when I took the training wheels off for the sequel, mistaking sex and shock value for actually storytelling and replacing Jacob Elordi for Grant Gustin...yeah. Not good. To the point where I'm not sure when or if I'm doing a third film. I might if I can figure out how to patch the issues from the film, if anyone has any tips, feel free to DM me!

I used to write for a similar Hollywood Mogul blog game like LRF. Both of them are very similar, Crazy Moon Pictures. The site mysteriously went down, but maybe the guy running it just got tired and didn't want to run it anymore. LRF is like a spiritual successor. So anyway, I used to do so many dramas, and a lot were these kick-in-the-gut type dramas. The old site does still exist, though can he hard to find. I went through and saw old stuff I used to write. I feel the same way with a lot of those dramas. Some were good, others just felt like they were trying WAY too hard to be depressing. I submitted a couple of recent dramas that we'll be seeing coming up, but they aren't anything like I used to write up 😆
