Hey I’m curious if anybody ever had a moment where either Hollywood or another writer did an adaptation or a true life story and you were like damn I wish I did it. I wish I could have adapted The Crucible. I loved the play when I read it.
Lon did a great job but I would have made it more of a thriller and make it more creepy. But Lon did a great job.
The second is the Chicago 7. I’m obsessed with the trial and ive read book after book on the trial. Sorkins film was incredibly inaccurate and I wish I could have written a better movie for LRF.
If you listen to interviews of the Chicago 7 or read books about it you notice how funny the movie could be and how angry the film could be and how it could be a great character study and examination of the 1960s.

As a writer with a low confidence, i never have a 'I wish i did it' moment, cause i know it'll be worse than what it already is. So, i mostly stick to "Original" script.

Hotel California is one of the most interesting adaptations. It’s so cool how you took a song and turned it into a non music video film.
