I would say that it is far too soon for another Pacific Rim film (plus the films were not successful at the box office - the first barely broke even at best, while the second lost money). I would suggest finding another robot vs. monster property or creating your own if you want to do that type of film. Okay cool. I had to ask and there's plenty of those stories available. Thanks for letting me know, bro
Gundam, Ultraman, Voltron and Robotech are some fairly similar properties that have yet to be mined for the big screen. There's also a ton of old giant monster movies from the 50s and 60s that I'm sure could be mined for ideas.

I had this dumb idea today. It’s so underdeveloped but I want to write a movie about a 90s rocker played by Ezra Miller. I just think Ezra Miller has a punk rock side but also a sensitivity which I think could be really cool.

If you watch him in Perks or Stanford Prison. He has this just amazing sensitivity and it’s easy to picture as a long haired anti establishment guy and like a lot of grunge rockers like Cobain or Cornell there’s an underlying depression that comes with it.

I just got done with Just Mercy and I left like doing was telling stories like it.
I wanna be one of those creatives to tell stories that need to be told. I plan to do the Tulsa Race Riots and The Mississippi Three. I want to know what else I can do in that area.
Anyone got any stories that need to be told? I want my writing to mean something in the future seasons.

If I were you, I would be careful about picking movies for their messages or social/historic significance rather than for their cinematic stories. For every good film with a message like Mississippi Burning or 12 Years a Slave, there are plenty of leser films like Winnie Mandela, Ghosts of Mississippi and Kings - bad movies seemingly made with noble intentions. It can be a tricky balancing act, so you should make sure the story comes first rather than the message.

Hey guys what do you think about a movie about a stand up comedian that’s a comedy drama but with Dave Chappelle as the leading man. I’m a big fan of his comedy and I think he can knock it out of the park.

The story is about a comedian who is on the rocks with his wife who meets a young comedian who gives him life and he starts cheating on his wife with this girl.

I think the idea of Chappelle in a more serious role is intriguing but, as Dwight implied, the most important thing is having a worthwhile story. Or else that casting would just go to waste.

Do you like the story I pitched I don't if what you've shared is necessarily a "story". It seems like more of a basic character set-up. Stand-up comedian starts an affair - then what? The story would be the "then what" in this case. A set-up and a story are two very different things. The set-up you've given could work, if it is accompanied by a worthwhile story. If you look at the classic movies about extra-marital affairs, the actual affair is only a sliver of what is really going on - because a person cheating on their spouse isn't a story in and of itself (it's a set-up). Some famous movies featuring fidelity: Fatal Attraction - A married man's one-night stand comes back to haunt him when that lover begins to stalk him and his family. Chloe - Suspecting her husband of infidelity, gynecologist Dr. Catherine Stewart hires an escort named Chloe in order to test his faithfulness. Soon, the relationships between all three intensify. Unfaithful - A New York suburban couple's marriage goes dangerously awry when the wife indulges in an adulterous fling. Little Children - The lives of two lovelorn spouses from separate marriages, a registered sex offender, and a disgraced ex-police officer intersect as they struggle to resist their vulnerabilities and temptations in suburban Massachusetts. Match Point - At a turning point in his life, a former tennis pro falls for an actress who happens to be dating his friend and soon-to-be brother-in-law. The Piano - In the mid-19th century, a mute woman is sent to New Zealand along with her young daughter and prized piano for an arranged marriage to a wealthy landowner, but is soon lusted after by a local worker on the plantation. Eyes Wide Shut - A New York City doctor embarks on a harrowing, night-long odyssey of sexual and moral discovery after his wife reveals a painful secret to him. The Other Man - The story of a husband who suspects his wife of adultery, and sets out to track down the other man in her life. As you may notice, in all of those films the infidelity is merely a set-up for the rest of the events that make up the meat of the story.

But yah thenkind of the meat of this story is Chappelles character Dan kind of wakes up from his relatively sedated self. He becomes more creative and alive. Similar in some ways to American Beauty where Lester Burnham kind of wakes up after meeting his daughters friend.
