What's the audience for that idea? It sounds like it would only exist to make people angry across the board. It's also unclear what the actual story is and what the character motivation is. I'd probably go back to the drawing board a bit on that one until those are clear. At least that's my opinion.

The other idea I had is an acclaimed author kinda like David Foster Wallace where he really connected with the youth and he gets contacted by his ex girlfriend who he still really loves for his wedding. I’m considering setting it in the 1990s because books really connected in ways they don’t anymore. I really like the idea of having someone who’s famous and is doing well but isn’t doing well emotionally and I like the idea of everyone trying to tell him that it’s nothing. I feel it’s a good metaphor for depression where you are doing good on the outside but not on the inside. What you guys think?

He’s a famous author that connected with the youth similar to the way Infinite Jest connected and he became kinda a superstar author and he is invited to the wedding of his ex girlfriend. What you think of the plot

So idk if any1 has heard of the Houston Astros Cheating Scandal, but does anyone think a "The Big Short" style movie would work for this? As someone who follows baseball very closely, I don't see that working as a film at all. There is no protagonist in a story about that, and no real narrative structure. It was a team of investigators working for the commissioner's office interviewing people and looking at video footage from various games - not exactly something that would be especially interesting to watch on screen, in my opinion. Perhaps there's some interesting angle somewhere, but none that come to mind to me. H.G., if you're still looking for an angle for this story, this might be a potential one to go (average schmo with a Twitter account plays a part in altering baseball's landscape): www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/28476354/how-internet-helped-crack-astros-sign-stealing-caseThe downside is that it is not like this guy originally broke the story so you probably have to do an ensemble of protagonists featuring The Athletic reporter, Fiers, social media guy, etc. And what real impact did he make, anyways? (Did he put pressure on the commissioner's office or would they have investigated anyways? Wouldn't they have found the same footage that he did?). Not saying it is the most enthralling film idea of all time, but it seems to be at least one angle. Although the ending might feel a little lackluster unless bigger ramifications come (i.e. titles being stripped), but that seems unlikely at the moment. Might want to give the story another month or two to see if anymore comes of it.

After three straight Terminator movies that under-performed at the box office (or in the case of Dark Fate, flat-out bombed) and failed to connect with fans of the franchise, I sadly think that the Terminator franchise should be laid to rest for some time (unless somebody comes up with a way to completely reinvent the franchise without alienating the fans - something Dark Fate completely failed at).

As a long time fan of the franchise, I think John is right. Dark Fate and Genisys were both infuriating films that clearly had no respect for the mythos the series had set up. I almost walked out of Dark Fate after that big moment about 8 minutes in, and honestly, I wish I would have. While Salvation had its issues, I think that it at least was respectful of what the films before it had set up. Obviously the first two films are the best, but Rise of the Machines has its moments and still feels like a continuation of the first two. I think that if the Terminator franchise is going to survive the best bet would be to do what Salvation tried to do and show the war against the machines (maybe cutting back and forth between the past and the future, with both timelines trying to save the other's existence). That said, I agree with John that it should probably take a break after having two unsuccessful films in less than five years.

What does everyone think of a Lil Peep movie What's the story though? Just because someone is famous enough to have a detailed wikipedia's summary, doesn't mean their life would necessarily make a good movie. I have never heard of Lil Peep before, but from google all I really see is that he was a young guy on the fringes of being famous and popped too many pills. There may be a real narrative story to be told about him, but I'd be sure there is before writing anything.

Okay so after seeing Scream 5 get made I was wondering if it was possible to do a Pacific Rim movie here at all. If it is, how should I go about that? As a direct sequel, combine the two movie together or ignore that the second one happened?

As a direct sequel, combine the two movie together or ignore that the second one happened? I would say that it is far too soon for another Pacific Rim film (plus the films were not successful at the box office - the first barely broke even at best, while the second lost money). I would suggest finding another robot vs. monster property or creating your own if you want to do that type of film.

Thanks for letting me know, bro
